  1. 5 cups apple cider or apple juice
  2. 2 tablespoons sugar
  3. 10 whole allspice
  4. 8 whole cloves
  5. 2 cinnamon sticks
  6. 1 cup dark rum
  7. 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  8. Combine first 5 ingredients in heavy large saucepan over medium heat. Bring to boi, sitrring until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat to low. SImmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add rum and butter. Stir until butter melts. Serve immediately. 6 Servings.
